Arteak, was invited to share its great international experience at the first Italian conference on industrial rescue, organized within “Ambiente Lavoro 2019” event. This conference was an opportunity to deepen the issues related to Industrial Rescue and the proposals of I.E.RE.SP. (Industrial Emergency Response Specialists European Association), the new borne association that aims at regulating qualification framework for Industrial Rescuer and Industrial Rescue Experts professionals in Italy and Europe.
Industrial Rescue is an operational area which has recently developed to support clients’ local teams through provision of expert operational personnel for emergency management in complex scenarios such as confined spaces, elevated work areas, explosive atmospheres, etc. where specialized high-level skills and competences are required. Due to potential impact of inappropriate emergency management, and given the current absence of specific regulations for qualification of ERT personnel and companies, it is vital for clients to have reliable code of practices and certification schemes that can be referred to when contracting external Industrial Emergency Response Teams.
During the event, Arteak contributed through its specialized know-how, built over years of international experiences with Oil & Gas major companies in asset construction and maintenance projects.
The development and establishment of competency assurance programs and certification frameworks, the HSSE services provided by Arteak ERT beyond stand-by rescue services, as well as ERT Academy programs created for the client’s emergency response teams were of particular interest.
